The working principle of pneumatic shield dams is mainly based on the principle of steel gate dams combined with rubber dams. When the pneumatic shield dam is installed in a river or estuary, the air pressure inside the dam is regulated by the inflation/deflation system to control the rise and collapse of the dam. When the water comes, the dam makes it impossible for the water to pass through directly.
Specifically, the gas pressure in the pneumatic shield dam is controlled by a regulator. When the water level rises to a certain height, the gas pressure in the pneumatic shield dam automatically increases, raising the shield to block the water flow. When the water level falls, the gas pressure inside the dam decreases, collapsing the dam and allowing the water to pass freely. This realizes effective control of the water level and achieves the effect of flood control.
In addition to flood control, the pneumatic shield dam can also be used to regulate water flow, raise the water level and other water conservancy engineering applications. By reasonably adjusting the bladders of the pneumatic shield dams, the water level can be kept at a suitable height, which ensures the normal operation of the river and the safety of the surrounding areas.
Now we can see the pneumatic shield dam is a water conservancy engineering facility worth promoting and utilizing.
