In the process of using rubber dams, in order to prevent their aging and extend the service life of dam bags, it is necessary to pay attention to the inspection work of dam bags. For example, when aging and cracking occur, timely coating treatment should be applied to the location where the crack occurs. At the same time, attention should be paid to the shielding of the dam bag to reduce direct exposure, ensure normal overcurrent, and prevent vibration and wear. Relevant management units should develop an operational management system for rubber dams, gradually explore it in practice, and summarize experience to continuously improve the system. Daily maintenance work is very important. If wear, water seepage, or peeling of adhesive tape is found, it should be repaired in a timely manner to prevent further development of the problem.
Under the action of water flow, it can cause vibration and floating of the dam bag, leading to a certain degree of damage to the dam bag. To prevent such situations from occurring, the bottom plate between the downstream anchor line and the collapse line of the dam bag should be poured more smoothly. To do a good job in maintenance and prevent ice rafts from directly passing through rubber dams, spur dikes should be built according to the local wind direction, or iron lines should be set up to block them, to prevent the passage of ice rafts from causing serious impact on the dam body.
